About Me
Kristina Retana is a co-founder of Sandbox Collaborative Strategies and serves as Creative Strategist. She brings more than a decade of experience in marketing strategy, brand development, communications, and business operations across private-sector companies, nonprofit organizations, and entrepreneurial ventures.
In her role at SCS, Kristina leads strategic marketing initiatives, brand development projects, and communications planning for clients. Her work focuses on helping organizations clarify their messaging, strengthen brand positioning, and develop scalable marketing systems that support long-term growth. She regularly oversees integrated marketing campaigns, website development projects, digital content strategies, and brand identity systems.
Kristina also contributes directly to creative production, including brand design development, marketing collateral creation, digital content production, and social media strategy. Her ability to bridge strategic planning with hands-on creative execution allows projects to move efficiently while maintaining alignment with overall communication objectives.
In addition to marketing expertise, Kristina brings strong operational and financial insight to client engagements. Her background includes managing organizational budgets, analyzing financial performance, and aligning marketing strategy with measurable business outcomes. This cross-functional experience allows her to approach all projects with a comprehensive understanding of organizational strategy.
Kristina holds an associates degree from Broward College and a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Florida International University.
Personally, Kristina is a mom of three adorable little humans that she homeschools. She is also the chosen human for two Australian Shepherds (half-sisters), two tuxedo cats (mother and daughter), and four budgies (parakeets). Kristina enjoys channeling her creativity into passion projects and getting lost in a really good book.
